Checkpoint since laptop failure

Improve code style and arrangement layout to actually be alphabetical, and in a reasonable ordering for my tastes.

Implement uniform consistency checking and cyclic type checking.

Add if-then-else expression.

Update to use a more Google-inspired code style.
